Italy-Ukraine again, but in the Muaythai final in the -91 kg category: Enrico Pellegrino Pellegrino loses 27-30 to Oleh Pryimachov and takes silver.
Riccardo Giovannini, bronze medal in the 10m event
Riccardo Giovannini takes bronze on the 10m platform in diving; for him 411.20 points. The Italian modern pentathlete is happy: After Elena Micheli (winner of the World Cup finals in Ankara and thus a secure place at the next Olympic Games), it is Alice Sotero who secures her second Olympic pass for Paris 2024. The 32-year-old from Piedmont qualified for the final of the European Games in Kraków along with 17 other athletes (including Micheli herself) from eight countries. That means the top-ranked player from each national team gets an Olympic card, but with Micheli already on target, Sotero is confident he’s got the pass in five circles.
