Diving goggles are enough to enjoy the facilitiesAncient port from the Hellenistic period of the 4th century BC. Chr, sunk only a meter deep. The area is rich in marine flora and fauna as a natural coral reef has developed over the centuries: it is therefore easy to swim among seaweed, turtles and fish. The park is accessible from a beach near the city of Limassol.

The university is involved in the project of the first underwater archaeological park in Cyprus. “This was a well-known archaeological site, one of the best preserved ancient ports in the eastern Mediterranean, excavated by the French team of archaeologists in the 1980s. So our role here was not to be researchers, but as disseminators to make a great place accessible to everyone.”
