Summer McIntosh wins the 400m medley at age 16 and breaks the second world record

Canada’s Summer McIntosh set her second world record of the week, winning the 400m individual medley at the Canadian Swimming Trials in 4 minutes 25.87 seconds. The 16-year-old sensation broke the record of 4:26.36 set by Hungarian Katinka Hosszu at the Rio 2016 Olympics.

A few days ago, McIntosh opened the Canadian selection for the Fukuoka World Championships in Japan in July, breaking the world record in the 400m freestyle with a time of 3:56.08, beating the 3:56.40 last year in May by the Australian Ariarne Titmus at the championships in Adelaide.
