Student parade in Rome, tensions with the police: shock and smoke bombs – the pictures

Tensions during a student march Rome organized against the right-wing youth rally International events are planned in Rome today and tomorrow. Protesters tried to divert the route towards Piazza Vittorio, where a sit-in in support of Palestine is planned, but faced a police barricade. There was pushing and throwing of smoke bombs and the police carried out a lightning attack.
