The Directorate General for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture, the Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Italian Cultural Institute Zurich launch the first edition of Mendrisio Archive of Modern Awarda show on the subject Studied the history of architecture is aimed at young Italian scientists. The two laureates will be offered the opportunity to spend a period of six months in Mendrisio (February 2024 – July 2024) in order to gain a better understanding of the tools for the study of contemporary architecture. The award-winning scholars will also take part in the cultural activities of the IIC Zurich and the Fondazione Archivio del Moderno, including by presenting the results of their work at the end of the residency. The winners will also be supported by a tutor with international experience, as well as an expert in the topics covered.
The call to action is online to participate in the Legislative Theater project and performance with the artist Adelita Husni-Bey is to take place in September/October 2023 in Argenta (FE). The project is part of the calendar of CAMPOTTO: Municipal agreements for a new station planProject with the aim of definition new community agreements for the Campotto station in the Po Delta Park, a program coordinated by the Basso Profilo association with the contribution of the Emilia-Romagna Region (LR 15/2018, announcement of participation in 2022) and the support of the Emilia-Romagna Po Delta Park. The Legislative Theater will be developed in two laboratory phases (September 15-17 / October 18-21) concluding with a performance of the Legislative Theater (October 21, 2023), both directed by artist Adelita Husni-Bey and form the starting point of a path to the co-creation of the rules for the Campotto station of the Po Delta Park Emilia-Romagna.
The Matera Basilicata 2019 Foundation and the Open Design School launch two new calls for second edition of the project Creative Communities. Co-creation residencies program in memory of David Sassoli. The aim of the project is to promote a program of creative residencies in the interior areas of Basilicata, with the aim of developing a new model of cultural care at regional level, with a library at its heart. The two public announcements each aim to nominate four young professionals, experts in cultural planning, community management, experiential design, participatory planning, design thinking for culture, social design and social innovation, and four cultural and creative companies operating in Basilicata to run between October and December 2023 through a creative residency for a total of six weeks. The selected themes will work together in the creation a model of a library/cultural centerunderstood as a hybrid space that moves alternately in one of the four Lucanian municipalities chosen for the pilot study of the project for their different characteristics: Balvano (PZ), Filiano (PZ), Latronico (PZ), Miglionico (MT).

The call for applications is online 32nd Biennial of Humor in the Art of Tolentino 2023. As always, there are two categories: the “International City of Tolentino Award”, for which a first, second and third place is provided, and the “Luigi Mari Award”, dedicated to the caricature portrait, which will reward the two cartoons best for stroke and ability to capture the details. The competition is open to artists, illustrators, video makers and cartoonists of all nationalities, without age restrictions, with a maximum of three works for each section, unpublished and original, free in size and technique, in any form of visual art and any type of material and support: Painting, graphics, sculpture and installation, photography, video. Digital works of art created entirely on the computer as well as works from photographic sources are also permitted. Of course, the works will be judged by a qualified jury, which will determine the winners and choose those to be exhibited in the Biennale exhibition.

Registration for the 31st edition is open Course in Curatorial Practice, which will reach its twentieth year of operation in 2024. The school was founded in 2004 by Aurora Fonda and Sandro Pignotti with the aim of training young artists through the dissemination of knowledge in the field of plastic arts and the promotion of artistic heritage and the territory. An in-depth course on the trends and languages of contemporary art combined with knowledge of science and social history, philosophy, sociology, semiotics, economics and entrepreneurship. A highly qualified and independent training project, able to offer theoretical and practical tools for preparation in public and private institutions, combined with the professionalism of national and international figures for a highly qualified educational project. At the end of the course, a certificate will be issued and there will be an offer of training internships with Italian and foreign themes, tailored to each student. The number of courses is limited and places are limited.
