European bourses are weaker at mid-session than at the start: Milan is hovering just above par, similar to Paris and Frankfurt. On the other hand, London (+1.3%) stands out, boosted since morning by inflation data, better than expected but still at 7.9% in June.
In contrast, price competition in the euro zone slowed to 5.5% in June, compared to 6.1% in May. In the European Union it is 6.4%.
The piazza Affari is weighed down by the banking and insurance sector, which is progressing somewhat in no particular order: down at Unicredit, Bpm, Bper, up at Intesa and Mediolanum.
