A strong foehn wind has been blowing over Piedmont in the last few hours. The gusts on the night of Thursday December 21st to Friday December 22nd caused significant damage in the communities in the area north of Turin and in the Canavese area. In Favria, several branches and trees fell, so citizens and workers went to work to clean the streets and make the damaged roofs safe.
In Villanova Canavese, the wind blew from the roof of a building: the area of the building was cordoned off and fire departments, civil protection and municipal technicians intervened on site.
