Sanremo 2024, the “Blue Butterflies” against violence against women with Mr. Rain on stage

The blue butterflies Alessia Maurelli, Martina Centofanti, Agnese Duranti, Daniela Mogurean and Laura Paris (Aeronautica Militare) as well as Alessia Russo (Fiamme Oro) are the ones Ambassadors against violence against women this evening in Sanremo.

“The Ariston stage is really a very important and super exciting stage”. So said the captain of the Italian team, who will be on stage together with Mr. Rain and the Gemelli Diversi.

“It is an important year, we hope that this is the beginning of a great year that will then take us to Paris with a lot of positive emotions and a lot of beautiful things that we will have in our luggage for the Olympic Games.” Alessia Maurelli added

“Our sport has a fantastic combination, sport and music,” explains Maurelli. “As we are in Sanremo today and can perform our own rhythmic gymnastics choreography to the music of “Mary”, a song that Mr. Rain specifically wanted to bring to the stage of Ariston, as it addresses the problem of violence against women.”

In agreement with the Gymnastics Federation, which is at the forefront against all forms of abuse, violence and discrimination, and has agreed to support Mr. Rain in the team that will represent Italy in Paris in the only all-female Olympic sport, also in Sanremo, its commitment to the main issues of social responsibility: “For us – he comes to the conclusion – It is very important to become ambassadors for such an important message as the fight against violence against women. Unfortunately, this topic is very relevant at a time when the strength of a group of women, whether among my teammates or our coaches, is very impressive. On stage we will bring this sisterhood to ourselves and to all the women who will watch us, the passion that can often save a person and the desire to be able to communicate. That’s very important: to have a friend, a companion, who you can confide in in any situation.”
